Airmail cover sent from Mount Darwin, Zimbabwe, on 6 December 1985 to Salomi Aliverti, Athens, Greece. It bears a single 20-cent Kariba Dam stamp, issued in 1985 and depicting the dam, reservoir and carved tower. The postage was 6 cents below the required 26-cent rate. Zimbabwean postal officials therefore applied the large circular “T 6/20” marking: the numerator records the 6c deficiency, while the denominator gives Zimbabwe’s 20c basic international letter rate, enabling the Greek postal administration to calculate the amountdue from the recipient.
