Postal-stationery envelope posted at Philadelphia on 2 April 1984 and addressed to the Hellenic Post Philatelic Service in Athens. Its 10-cent John Hancock indicium is supplemented by 5-cent George Washington, 13-cent Lindbergh transatlantic-flight and 50-cent “Switzerland Founded 1291” commemoratives, producing a total franking of 78 cents. The unusually diverse combination and irregular placement suggest philatelically inspired use, although the cover travelled through the mail. A Greek receiving mark dated 4 May 1984 records arrival, more than one month after dispatch.
