Commercial cover mailed from the Iris paintworks of Menelaos Sakellariou S.A. at Eleusis to Panagiotis Sideris, civil engineer, Chalkokondyli Street 19, Athens. Posted on 16 December 1957, it is franked with a horizontal pair of the blue 50-drachma Hydra Harbour stamps, giving a total postage of 100 drachmas. The reverse bears repeated advertising impressions promoting the company’s paints, together with a small illustration of a house painter. The combination provides an attractive example of early post-war Greek commercial correspondence and illustrated industrial advertising.
