Commercial letter from the textile company Chr. P. Mantzanis & K. Dimopoulos, Larissa, to merchant Konstantinos Papanikolaou at Limni, Evia. The 3-drachma King George II definitive paid the domestic letter rate. The additional 50-lepta Social Welfare stamp, created by overprinting a 20-lepta value, represents the compulsory charitable postal tax applied during designated periods. Both adhesives are tied by Larissa datestamps.
