Local letter sent by the afternoon newspaper Ethnikos
Kosmos, described on its letterhead as the “organ of the liberal
professional classes,” from 18 Vouli Street to E.
Kazantzianon, 10 Troias Street, Athens. The word Enthaide confirms
local delivery. Mixed 30-lepta franking comprising 10l red and
20l slate engraved definitives, both cancelled at Athens. An interesting
example of newspaper-office correspondence and urban postal communication in
early twentieth-century Athens.
