Letter sent from Paris on 3 July 1930 to Athanase Trypani at Chios, Greece, using Hotel de Paris stationery. A single 1.50-franc blue Pasteur definitive correctly paid the UPU foreign-letter rate and was cancelled by the PARIS–R. DES CAPUCINES machine postmark. The reverse bears a clear CHIOS arrival of 10 July. As the addressee had moved, “Chio” was crossed out and the cover redirected to 42 Pireos Street, Athens. Subsequent Piraeus machine markings document its onward handling. An instructive international cover combining correct postage, island arrival and domestic redirection without additional charge.
