Picture postcard showing snow-covered Gstaad, sent to Takis Horn in Athens on 27 February 1991. It is franked with 20- and 90-rappen Swiss definitives, illustrating historic pack-animal mail and modern postal work, for a total of CHF 1.10. Both stamps are tied by a GSTAAD 1 circular date stamp. The combined franking correctly paid the international priority-postcard rate to Greece, confirmed by the blue “A Prioritaire” label. The Greek message sends greetings from the mountain resort and describes the snow and cold.
Dimitris (Takis) Horn was one of the greatest actors of Greek theatre and cinema from the 1940s to the 1980s.
