Domestic letter posted at Megalopolis on 26 June 1986 and addressed to
the SOPRAL company at 18 Kifisias Avenue, Marousi. The single 18-drachma
commemorative, issued for the First World Junior Championships in Athletics, is
clearly tied by a bilingual MEGALOPOLIS circular datestamp. The franking
correctly pays the ordinary inland letter rate for the first 20 grams, in force
from 12 December 1985 until 14 August 1986. Although an airmail envelope was
used, the route was entirely domestic and no air surcharge applied. A clean
commercial use of a contemporary commemorative at the correct tariff.
