Domestic 2-drachma postal stationery card, posted from Athens on 23 July 1937 to a textile merchant in Patras. The imprinted Acropolis indicium paid the correct domestic postcard rate. In addition, a 10-lepta fiscal stamp overprinted ΠΡΟΝΟΙΑ with a blue cross was affixed as the compulsory Social Welfare postal tax; it did not pay postage. Commercial message concerning woven georgette samples and prices.
