ΓΡΑΦΕΙΟΝ ΠΑΝΟΡΜΟΥ - ΤΗΝΟΥ”, (Post Office of Panormos -Tinos), franked with Panormos (Tinos) postmark “ΠΑΝΟΡΜΟΣ (ΤΗΝΟΥ)* 31 VIII 64”, plus manuscript EA (ΕΠΙ ΑΠΟΔΕΙΞΕΙ - against receipt) and original signature. On reverse double circle administrative cachet of Panormos Post Office, texted “ΤΑΧΥΔΡΟΜΕΙΟΝ ΠΑΝΟΡΜΟΥ - ΤΗΝΟΥ”, in the belt around “ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ” and Coat of Arms in the centre, plus special information handstamp, for the returning of the parcel receipt, according the Circular of Ministry of Postal Services, Telegraphs and Telephones (TTT). Included printed and filled informative note in blue color, accompanying the parcel so that the addressee is informed of the sender’s name. CARE, an acronym for Cooperative for American Remittances to Europe, which was modified in 1953 to Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere, was established on 27.11.1945, initially as a provisional cooperative of 22 political, religious, agricultural cooperatives and American workers’ philanthropic organizations.
