The Clio was Greek art magazine from the 19th century. Clio was published in 1885 in Leipzig and continued to be published until 1889. This issue “Τομος Γ’ / ΑΡΙΘ. 21/(69). ΕΤΟΣ Γ’. / τη /1/13. Νοεμβρίου 1887”, includes except the woodcut engraving image of Pavlos Kalligas, some others, among them image of a Gipsy beauty (By De Geetere), full page. One page damaged and repaired, the rest, in Very fine condition and scarce.
NOTE: Pavlos Kalligas (Greek: Παύλος Καλλιγάς; Smyrna, 1814 – Athens, 1896) was a Greek jurist, writer and politician, who served as professor at the University of Athens, Member and Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, cabinet minister for Foreign Affairs, Education, Finance and Justice and chairman of the National Bank of Greece.
