Three-ring gray cachet texted ‘ΛΟΓΟΚΡΙΣΙΑ ΚΑΡΔΙΤΣΗΣ’ [Karditsa Censorship] with crest centrally on mourning open visiting card envelope to Athens, franked with 1dr Greek ’Head of King George II’ and 50lepta ‘Chairing Diagoras of Rhodes’ regular (Historical set, 1937) adhesives cancelled with ‘ΚΑΡΔΙΤΣΑ ……..’ difficult to decipher postmark.
Passed by censor locally with flap secured.
No postal or other indications of exercising any form of handling on arrival in Athens except of a single circle number ‘23’, applied by the delivering postman.
