Opened and examined at the local censor office; secured with tape printed in Greek ‘ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΛΟΓΟΚΡΙΣΙΑ’ [Hellenic Censorship], stamped with violet single-line cachet texted ‘ΕΛΟΓΟΚΡΙΘΗ’ [Censored], and double ring cachet texted ‘ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ / ΣΤΑΘΜΟΣ ΧΩΡ/ΚΗΣ ΦΑΡΣΑΛΩΝ’ [Kingdom of Greece, Farsala Gendarmerie Station] in belt with crest centrally.
Backstamped on arrival at destination with ‘AΘΗΝΑΙ 26.XII.40 ΑΦΙΞΙΣ’ [Athens, Arrival 26 December 1940] 9-line wavy postal marking.
Number ‘27’ black diamond handstamp applied by the delivering postman.
