Three-ring violet cachet texted ‘ΣΤΡΑΤΙΩΤΙΚΗ ΛΟΓΟΚΡΙΣΙΑ’ [Military Censorship] in belt on commercial cover printed ‘Πρώην Ατμόμυλος & Κεραμοποιείο Αλλατίνη [former Allatini Steam mill & Ceramics Factory], franked with 3dr Greek ’Head of King George II’ regular (Historical set, 1937) plus 50lepta ‘Social Providence’ (Heads of Queens Olga and Sophia) (1939) stamps cancelled with ‘ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗ 16.ΝΟΕ.1940’ [Thessaloniki Dispatch, 16 November 1940] 9-line wavy postal marking (back).
Opened and passed by censor locally; secured with tape printed in Greek ‘ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΛΟΓΟΚΡΙΣΙΑ’ [Hellenic Censorship] on both sides, and stamped with single line blue no. “78” examiner’s marking.
