The card was stamped in violet-rose by the Exchange Control Office at Thessaloniki, texted ‘ΥΠΗΡΕΣΙΑ ΠΡΟΣΤΑΣΙΑΣ ΕΘΝΙΚΟΥ ΝΟΜΙΣΜΑΤΟΣ’ / [National Currency Protection Service] in belt and ‘ΘΕΣ/ΝΙΚΗ’ [Thessaloniki] with small letters centrally.
Forwarded to final destination and postmarked with blue “ΑΕΡΟΔΡΟΜΙΟΝ ΣΕΔΕΣ / ΕΠΙΤΑΓΑΙ date-stamp (day illegible on blue air mail label) …. XII 37” [Sedes Airport – Money Orders, … December 1937].
