Passed by the Hellenic Exchange Control office at Alexandroupolis (Thrace), and stamped with violet double-ring circular marking texted ‘ΝΟΜΑΡΧΙΑ ΕΒΡΟΥ / ΥΠΗΡΕΣΙΑ ΠΡΟΣΤΑΣΙΑΣ ΕΘΝΙΚΟΥ ΝΟΜΙΣΜΑΤΟΣ’ [Evros Prefecture, National Currency Protection Service] with crest centrally.
Faintly stamped on arrival at final destination on “May 31 1939”; difficult to discern.
