NOTE: George Athanasiadis - Novas (Nafpaktos, 9 February 1893 - 10 August 1987) was a Greek politician, lawyer, writer and journalist. He served as the first prime minister of the "Apostasy" and was a member of the Academy of Athens. On July 15, 1965, after his disagreement with King Constantine, prime minister George Papandreou, was led to resign and the same night George Athanasiadis-Novas was sworn in as prime minister, marking the beginning of a prolonged period of political instability, which went down in history as "Apostasy." His government failed to get a vote of confidence from Parliament and George Athanasiadis - Novas submitted his resignation on August 1965.
