Entire folded official letter with dateline "Σώκια τη 8:7βρίου 1856" sealed with decorated ΕΠΙΣΤΑΣΙΑ ΣΑΜΙΩΝ ΕΝ ΣΩΚΙΟΙΣ [=Samian Supervision at Sokia (nowadays Söke), Turkey!!], sent to Vathy, addressed to the Prince of Samos. The same handstamp is used on the document. The two-pages text describe the attack of 4 Turks against some Greek workers eating in a shack, which was finally burned, RRR & VF
