Greece, Cover franked with a single 50L Nature value tied by ΑΘΗΝΑΙ 15 Ι 59 ΑΠΟΣΟΛΗ date stamp and mailed to "His Excellency Mr. Alfred Hitscog (sic)" in Paris, France. Perhaps due to Hitchcock's name being misspelled and due to inadequate address information, cover received boxed ADRESSE INCOMPLETE and RETOUR A L'ENVOYEUR handstamps by the French postal authorities. Cover was returned to Greece where it received NΕΑΠΟΛΙΣ ΑΘΗΝΩΝ 23 Ι 59 and ΑΘΗΝΑΙ 23 Ι 59 ΑΦΙΞΙΣ machine cancels. Very interesting item.
Note: This was in the period right before Hitchcock's seminal North by Northwest was released in July of 1959.
