Local Greek commercial corner cover printed “Α.Ε. ΧΑΡΤΟΠΟΙΪΑΣ ’Η ΚΕΡΚΥΡΑ’” [‘Corfu’ Paper-manufacture S.A.’] with all 13 Italian stamps of 1929-1942 (8 regular + 1 air mail + 4 postage dues; complete set) newly overprinted ISOLE JONIE on 1st September 1941 for use in the islands complex (except Gerigo, where the Greek adhesives were still used without overprint).
Antedated cancelled-to-order with Greek ’ΚΕΡΚΥΡΑ 5 ΙΟΥΝ. 41 ΑΠΟΣΤΟΛΗ’ [Kerkyra (Corfu) Despatch, 5 June 1941] date-stamp. Cover bears also a boxed Italian handstamp texted ‘VERIFICATO PER CENSURA’ [Checked for censorship] in green, and the d.r. ‘AFFARI CIVILI – CORFU / CENSURA POSTALE’ [Civil Affairs - Corfu / Postal Censorship] in purple (both sides), used on the island.
