Last troops of the Greek Corps were transported from Romania by sea to Turkey on 7 July, to occupy Smyrna city and greater area in the country’s Aegean region; the Hellenic Air Squadron though was ordered to head to Salonika in order to take part in military preparations to occupy Eastern Thrace.] Text by Socrates Bosovitch
