Sender’s address on flap: Tinos Island.
Cover bears the rare Syros deep grey-blue “V.” Italian censor marking applied in transit on front.
Dispatched to Athens, where it was opened and examined by the Italians in the Mail Censor Office. Resealed with tape printed ‘VERIFICATO PER CENSURA’ on reverse, tied with ‘UFFICIO CENSURA POSTALE – ATENE’ double-ring marking in violet. Cover bears also the fractional ‘28/Gre’ single ring examiner’s number.
Forwarded to Kallithea, and backstamped at final destination with s.r. ‘ΚΑΛΛΙΘΕΑ 30 VII 43’ [Kallithea, 30 July 1943].
