Italian private postcard ‘RHODES’, depicting a Venetian motif of St. Catherine's Gate (or Sea Gate, the main gate of the town), designed by engineer and architect Florestano di Fausto (1890-1965), who drew up and delivered Rhodes’ new city plan in January 1926.
Lithograph, printed in colour at “Stab. [Establishment] L. Salomone - Roma”; 1930s (probably early 1933, when photographs from Di Fausto’s various works were released while highlighting the tenth anniversary of Governor Mario Lago’s rule).
Item condition: Excellent, not used; short light diagonal crease at bottom right corner).
