GREECE 1964 Corner Cover from the village of Orologion, Euboea franked with a single 6dr Ancient Coins on the front tied by a very nice strike of the Rural Post Trumpet type 1028 4 1 64 cancel. ΑΥΛΩΝΑΡΙΟΝ 4.1.64 transit on the front and a different type ΑΥΛΩΝΑΡΙΟΝ 4.1.64 AVLONARION on the back, tying the 1dr Scouts Jamboree value. On the back there are KUALA LUMPUR 24 JAN.64 and PETALING JAYA 25 JAN 64 SELANGOR postmarks as someone on the front had crossed the name of the recipient in red ink and advised the post office try P. JAYA. Unable to find the recipient, a large postal handstamp in violet was applied on the back, and a red ink arrow on the front indicating that it should be returned to sender. ΑΥΛΩΝΑΡΙΟΝ 23 IV 64 arrival on the back indicating an almost four month trip of the letter unceremoniously coming back to the sender. Great topical stamps, an excellent rural post usage and a very scarce to/from/to piece of postal history.
