GREECE Registered Cover mailed from an employee of the EASTERN TELEGRAPH COMPANY, franked with several lithographic values (5, 15, 30 & 40L) and an April 1924 issued Lord Byron set of two on the front, all tied by ΑΘΗΝΑΙ 10 ΙΟΥΝ. 24 (ΣΥΣΤΗΜΕΝΑ) circular date stamps. Registration label at middle right reading R ATHENES 132199 and addressed to Prague, Czechoslovakia. On the back we have two additional lithographic stamps (10L & 20L) tied by the Athens Registered Division postmark as the stamps on the front. Sealing the back flap is a BRITISH EMPIRE EXHIBITION 1924 label reading The Eastern Associated Telegraph Companies occupy a Stand in Avenue 15, Bays 7-11, in the Palace of Engineering where Telegrams are received for direct transmission abroad. The label is tied by two Czech postmarks one from PRAHA C.S.P. 11 VI 24 CIZINA-ETRANGER and a ZIZKOV 1 - 11 VI. 24 C.S.P. A very attractive franking for the 4dr registered mail rate, made all the nicer with the Exhibit label.
