GREECE 1936 Cover from Athens to Paris, France, franked with a pair of 1dr Second Landscapes, a pair of the 3dr & a single of the King Constantine I memorial issued all tied by ΑΘΗΝΑΙ ? XI 36 ΣΥΣΤΗΜΕΝΑ ΕΞΩΤΕΡΙΚΟΥ (early usage of the Constantine stamps as they were issued November 18th). Registered mail label GRECE Athinai "Central" with number 588. Cover was opened for currency exchange control, taped with ΕΛΕΓΧΟΣ ΣΥΝΑΛΛΑΓΜΑΤΟΣ CONTROLE DU CHANGE which was itself tied by a clear strike of of the circular ΥΕΣ (Υπηρεσια Ελεγχου Συναλλαγματος) and the Athens postal circular datestamp on top both on the front and back, as well as the inspector's manuscript initials. Additionally, on the back there are a not so clear boxed ΣΥΣΤΗΜΕΝΟΝ (Registered) partially covered by the tape and a Paris circular date stamp. Clean and interesting item.
