Stampless trilingual illustrated black colour postcard titled in Greek/French/Serbian ‘Το πανόραμα της Φλωρίνης / Panorama de Florina / Панорама Флорине’. The card could well had been obtained by the sender himself, when his unit was previously fighting in the Salonika Front area during the Great War.
Sender’s details in Greek: ‘Κ.Ε. Ανδρόνικος, Λοχαγός Μηχανικού, Υπασπιστής Ι Μεραρχίας, Τ.Τ.908’ [Engineer Captain, Adjutant 1st Division, Postal Sector 908], assigned to the 1st Hellenic Infantry Division, then at Aydin Turkey (Smyrna and greater area in the country’s Aegean region under Greek administration, 1921-22). Message is dated ’27-12-19’ (27 December 1919).
Card bears the official circular cachet of the 1st Hellenic Infantry Division, texted ‘ΠΡΩΤΗ ΜΕΡΑΡΧΙΑ’ around the Hellenic crest in black.
Addressed to Athens, Greece, it was postmarked with ΣΤΡΑΤ. ΤΑΧΥΔΡΟΜΕΙΑ Τ.Τ. 908 8 ΙΑΝ. 20 [(Hellenic) Army Post Office 908, 8 January 1920] datemark.
No postal or other dated indication of arrival at final destination is shown.
