1880, Greek Post Offices Abroad. Registered cover (backflap missing)
from Constantinople 17 Oct 1880 franked with 40 lepta grey-bistre (cut
into at left) and 10 lepta orange sent to Xirohorion with Athens transit
backstamp. Rate paid: 30 lepta UPU single weight letter plus 20 lepta
registration fee. The 40 lepta stamp is Hellas 52a, which is most
exlusive on cover, the cover shows a superb strike of the straight line
”SYSTHMENNON” marking of the Greek PO in Constantinople.
