BOGUS issue; stamps with no gum, produced privately in France in an attempt to keep Himarë out of Albanian control after the Italians retreated from Albania in early May 1920. Four values were printed: 5l, 10l, 25l, and 50l; of these, the 5l, 10l, and 50l values are offered here.
Greek text with spelling/structure errors, “ΚΡΑΤΟΣ ΑΝΕΞΑΡΤΗΟΣ / ΤΑΧΥΔΡΟΜΕΙΟΥ ΧΕΙΜΑΡΡΑ”, most probably meaning ‘Post of the Independent State of Himarë’.
Very fine condition; see scans.
