Cover bears the “YΠHPEΣIA ΠOΛITIKHΣ AEPOΠOPIAΣ / AEPOΛIMHN KEPKYPAΣ” (Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, Corfu Airport) cachet applied on the outgoing flight, and “C.T.T. AEROPORTO LISBOA 31.JUL.56” postmark cancelling Portuguese 50ctvs ‘seal of King Denis’ adhesive (1953) plus the rubber datestamp reading “TAXYΔPOMIKON ΓPAΦEION 112ας ΠTEPYΓOΣ MAXHΣ / 2.AYΓ.1956 [112 Combat Wing Post Office; 2.8.1956] placed in black upon return to Eleusis Air Force Base [Goddard 38, only 5 flown].
Enclosed note written in Greek: ‘Voyage of No. 960 DAKOTA a/c of HM the KING transporting VIPs to Lisbon’.
