Entire folded letter addressed "εις Πάτρας δια Σύρου" (to Patras via Syros), bearing in blue the type II postmark ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΙΣ ΤΟΥΡΚΙΑ 24.ΜΑΪΟΥ.1852 (Constantinople), sent to ΠΑΤΡΑΙ 30.ΜΑΪΟΣ.1852 (Patras Peloponnese). Oval ΔΠ handstamp in blue [Δικαίωμα Πληρωθέν = Rate paid] rated 60 in red on reverse. Handwritten "10" corrected to "30" lepta (to pay the local rate and disinfection fees, upon arrival). Sender's notice "δια Σύρου" (via Syros) was crossed off (with red pencil) and the letter was forwarded via Piraeus, with transit postmarks of ΠΥΡΑΙΕΥΣ 28.ΜΑΪΟΣ.1852 (Piraeus) and ΑΘΗΝΑΙ 29.ΜΑΪΟΣ.1852 (Athens), disinfected (with one horizontal slit), ex Drossos collection, R & VF
