Envelope to Greece with ‘80.000.000 [dinars] / Port Payé’ (or Postage Paid) ms endorsement in French (the official language of UPU) on front, followed by BEOGRAD 17.09.93 postmark indicating ‘11102’ Belgrade postal sector number, tying 6,50Din ‘The flight to Egypt’ (Museum Exhibits: iconostasis of the Monastery of St. John Bigerski, Bistra -1990) postage stamp as the postal clerk was out of stamps.
[In cases postage stamps were not available for some reasons, this ‘postage paid’ indication had to be applied instead, followed by postmark, to inform the receiving postal office that proper postage has been paid and no postage due should be collected.
