Two used copies of 2dr. Greek consular service revenues texted “ΧΑΡΤΟΣΗΜΟΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟΝ ΠΡΟΞΕΝΙΚΗΣ ΥΠΗΡΕΣΙΑΣ / δύω ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ / 2”; one cancelled with the official cachet ΠΡΟΞΕΝΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ [ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ] ΕΝ ΠΡ[ΕΒΕΖΗ] and the other with similar cachet texted Π[ΡΟΞΕΝΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ] ΕΝ ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗ, used by the Greek Consulates at Preveza/Epirus and at Salonica/Macedonia respectively. Both towns were then under Turkish administration.
Worthy to note the rarely (first?) used Greek spelling for the word ‘two’: the last vowel is printed with omega (‘δύω’), being replaced with the omicron type character (‘δύο’).
Condition: Excellent; see scans.
