Cover (probably philatelic) mailed open from Sofia, Bulgaria to Dede-Agatche [now, Alexandroupolis, Greece] with single-circled “T” postage due marking on front. Apparently on arrival at destination, three Bulgarian ordinary postage stamps issued in 1919, overprinted with 2-line THRACE / INTERALLIÉE overprint reading up [5st. (1st issue, Dec. 1919), 10st. and 15st. (3rd issue, Apr. 1920)], were applied on reverse bearing local single-circled “T” postage due marking, cancelled with ‘ДЕДЕ-АГАЧЪ 11.IV.920 DEDE-AGHATCHE ‘ date-stamp.
[Western Thrace was taken by the Kingdom of Bulgaria in October 1913. France occupied the area at the end of the First World War, following the defeat of Bulgaria. On 1 December 1919, the Inter-allied Administration was established in the area; this ended on 31/5/1920, being replaced by the Greek Administration on next day, 1 June 1920.]
