GREECE: April 1, 1948: Second Aerogramme Issue Letter
Sheet, in very fine, mint condition. Properly folded but not stuck,
excellent lot. Line and darker lower part on photos are on the photo
only, of the plastic liner holding the item in place, item is in very
fine sound condition.
These minimum weight letter-sheets were made
officially and only sold by the post office for the price of 200drs as
indicated on the "back" side where it also prompts the public to use
airmail post. The "white" part was for the sender to write their letter.
These required additional postage for mailing (on the front upper right
corner it has a square with the instruction to place the stamp there)
and usually were mailed with no additional inserted sheets as that would
change the weight and the rate of the item (thus defeating the original
purpose of these aerogrammes).
Item will be shipped from Greece via registered mail, usually within 3 days after your payment has cleared. For payment, PAYPAL is preferred, within Greece cash on delivery is acceptable or postal money order (please contact me regarding the COD/PMO option).
